Transport Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Transport Volunteer for our rescue! There are many opportunities for volunteers to transport our dogs/puppies to different areas in Colorado, and also picking up from our Out Of State Rescue Partners!

Transport Volunteer Opportunities:

Short Trips:

  • We do events almost every Saturday and sometimes fosters are unable to get their dogs to and from these events. In cases like this we look for volunteers who would be willing to pick up the dog(s) at their foster homes on the morning of the event and drive them to the event they need to attend.
  • Dogs need help getting to and from their spay/neuter appointments when fosters are unable to take them or pick them up. In these cases you would pick up the foster dog the morning of their apts and drive them to our vet in Littleton.

Longer Trips:

  • Every other week we meet our Texas Transporters in Raton, New Mexico. The drive to Raton is 3 and a half hours each way. The rescue provides the kennels, lunch, & Gas!
  • We try to do monthly transports to Midland TX – This is a 10 hour drive each way and is a 2 day trip. The rescue pays for gas, hotel, food, and provides kennels for transportation.

Volunteer Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a valid drivers licence
  • Hold current registration and insurance on the vehicle you will be taking
